Indian Dance

Tues 18th March, 1st, 8th, 15th April 7.30 - 9.00 pm £28.00

Led by: Edna Watt
These classes in traditional Indian dance are an enjoyable way to develop your fitness and flexibility. You will learn to combine graceful body movements with intricate hand gestures and rhythmical footwork. This traditional dance, suitable for all abilities, is also an artistic yoga and requires concentration and focus, the long-term benefits being increased stamina and vitality, supple joints, and an inner calmness. No experience is required, and you will be learning in a friendly and supportive atmosphere.
Classes are held at the Community Centre, High Bentham.

Fizzical Girls’ Club

Starting Wednesday 16th April 6.00 - 7.00 pm and every Wednesday, at the Community Centre, cost £2.00 per session.

A new Fizzikal club for girls is starting in the summer term with Jack Parkinson of Activate. All girls from 11 to 14 are welcome to come along for an hour of poi, dance, rounders and all sorts of active fun!

Sundays every 4th Sunday (except Dec) 3.00 pm - 5.00 pm Donation

This monthly informal group, inspired by Resurgence Magazine and the Schumacher Circle, will be meeting at Looking Well every 4th Sunday from 3-5pm, looking at the theory and practice of good living, through permaculture, ‘slow food’, local economics, art and beauty, ecological building, open spirituality and deep ecology. The group will be seeking to explore new ways of living in harmony with the environment and with one another in an equitable way. Each month, there will be a talk/discussion, an opportunity to chat, a short meditation and refreshments (local and organic). All are welcome – just come along at 3pm on any 4th Sunday.
