Looking Well Studios is situated in the thriving market town of Bentham on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park and the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding natural Beauty. It is easily accessible from Lancashire and Cumbria, as well as Yorkshire and is conveniently situated for national and local rail links.
If you come by bus:
80/80A several times daily Lancaster/Bentham via surrounding villages. Bentham Community Transport (Tel: 015242 62753) also run a local taxibus service and car scheme.
If you come by rail:
Leeds to Lancaster/Morecambe line. London and the north connections via Leeds or Lancaster.
If you come by road:
From M6, J34 (12 miles), take A683 (to Kirkby Lonsdale). After 6 miles turn right B6480 to Bentham. From North – M6, J36 (16 miles), take A65 (signed Kirkby Lonsdale), go on to Ingleton, turn right onto Bentham Road. From Skipton (25 miles), take A65 (to Kendal). At Clapham, turn left B6480 for 5 miles.
If you come by bike:
Sustrans National Route 69 forms part of the Way of the Roses cycle route. In Lancashire it runs between Hest Bank and the Yorkshire border near Low Bentham via Morecambe and Lancaster. We are very pleased to store bikes in our secure workshop while you are with us.
