Shooting to Printing: a day of digital photography

10am - 4pm Wednesday 4th June £30.00 inc. lunch

Led by a professional photographer, this workshop is designed to open your eyes and help you to see in a fresh way. You will spend the morning taking digital photographs in the beautiful Bowland countryside around Bentham, be revived by a simple home-cooked lunch at Looking Well Studios, followed by a workshop - with individual laptops provided - learning how to get the best from your digital images using Photoshop Elements.

Self catering, B&B or bunk barn accommodation can be arranged within a 10 minute radius of the workshop if requested.

Discover Historical Bentham

7pm - 9pm Thursday 5th June £1.00

Enjoy an illuminating guided walk around Bentham in the company of a knowledgeable local historian. You’ll be surprised by the interesting history hidden within the streets of this lively market town!

Clapham Heritage Walk

2pm - 4pm Saturday 7th June £2.00

Enjoy an informative 3½ mile walk around Clapham and its surroundings in the company of a member of Clapham History Group.

Looking Well Open Day

10am - 4pm Saturday 7th June

Come and join in a day filled with creative fun at Looking Well Studios, Bentham’s arts and wellbeing centre. Stalls, displays, refreshments, and have-a-go fun for all the family indoors and in our garden. Just drop in throughout the day.

Make a Kite!

10.30am - 1.30pm Saturday 7th June

Join in the fun at Looking Well’s Open Day with this kite-making workshop. Just drop in at Looking Well Studios anytime between 10.30am and 1.15pm, to make a small or large kite, then go fly your kite in the beautiful Bowland countryside! The workshop is free, but the cost of materials will be £1.50 or £2, depending on the size of kite chosen. Suitable for all the family.

Stone Carving

10.00am - 12.45pm or 1.15pm - 4.00pm Saturday 14th June £10.00

Here is your chance to try out this engrossing and satisfying craft! Working in local sandstone or limestone – and with a choice of a morning or afternoon session - you will learn some basic techniques alongside an expert stone carver, and take a piece of work home with you. The fee includes the cost of all materials.
